Here is a Google photo album of the electronic parts from the estate of
Chris Beech in Duncan <https://photos.app.goo.gl/N1fhqWb2ku4Zx8ZY6>
If you turn on Information in google photos, you see my descriptions, or
you can use google photos search textbox.
Please don't share the link outside of the steering committee yet..
Chris had an interest in
- raspberry Pis
- micro controllers (uno, Pico, Rock Pis,
- controller displays, pi cameras
- Power conversion
- li-ion batteries and battery management systems
- Seeed products
Chris was a heavy smoker, judging from the odour of the parts. When they
heat up, the smell of tobacco may rise.
The understanding of the estate was that parts would be recycled to a club
rather than to individuals. Because there are often multiples of
components (MCUs, modules, discrete parts) I think they would make a good
inventory for classes, or for projects to be presented by individual(s).
IMHO storage of the parts should be centrally located with respect to
members. I live near Mayfair mall. I have a locked storage locker
upstairs in my condo building, separate from my condo that might be used.
I am short on storage space myself, so I will have to empty the storage
unit and move the parts to that storage unit for now anyway.
In the cabinets of mini drawers (shown at the end of the album) are many
discreet parts like resistors , DIP Logic ICs etc.
There are no surface mount components, save for one which looks like a
micro-controller.
