Thanks for this. I went to Memory Express on your advice and bought everything I think I need to set up a remote camera station (already had the PoE axis camera and midspan power), and there is power at the station. Now steep learning curve – see if I can pull this together in some evenings. My experience is with Diamond Systems and ComputerBoards embedded computers 15+ years ago, and some with Arduino lately.  I was thinking of using linux, but bought a decent size sd incase I need to go with windows for any of the proprietary camera software. Hope not. We shall see. Site is in Metlakatla way up North, so I thought better to take the stuff this week and try putting it together in the evenings, than to have to make the trip again… which is the actual plan.
