[VicPiMakers SG] 14 May SG meeting minutes

Hi All,

We had a good meeting last night at the Monkey Tree. We made good progress
at securing an alternative meeting location. Starting September we will
meet on the 2nd Saturday at Q-College, and the 4th Saturday, at Camosun
(Interurban campus).

Here's the minutes I captured during the meeting:

Discussion of progress/ideas to alternate meeting locations (Craig)
Camosun - 22 Sept (Deid)
Have the 4th meeting of the month at Comosun
Garth Homer Society $400 for big room
Strawberry Vale & District Community Club $400 for big room
Braefoot Community Assoc $50/hour, but only available Sat eve & Sun aft
Upcoming presentations for the Spring (Deid)
Need presentations for Sept - Show & Tell on 8 Sept
Perf Board Project - update (Deid)
Packaged 5 bags, sold 1 bag
Update on Intro to VicPiMakers meetings (Deid)
2-3 people per Tues night have been attending
Sept, Oct, Nov - Feb, March, April - 2 classes
3 month series, restart in 2019
How to market the classes
Update on Linux SIG meetings (Craig/Mark)
Going well
Treasurers Report (Craig)
Charge at Comosun (Deid) - can we charge? suggest a student rate
Meeting Videos (Deid)
Still in progress
Guidelines for presentations (Deid)
Should have something to do with Pi, Python, or Other embedded devices
Deid will work up a draft
