Hi George (and List),

I bet if my power went out for a while, my programs in
my irrigation system might be lost. I remember unplugging
the controller when I first moved in, and it ended up
having a blank slate when I turned it on later.

This sort of thing is likely to happen to plenty
of electrically timed systems.

Even a battery backup memory option will fail
if the power is out long enough and the battery dies.
