Hi Vic Pi Makers,
Our last meeting of the 2025-2026 is less than a week away. Then comes
our summer break when we all have lots of time to do what we do during
the summer and think of Pi and other projects to measure, sense,
communicate with, organize, store and control the world. So, you can
present your accomplishments at our meetings next fall, winter and spring.
If you are having trouble with starting your creativity and are looking
for inspiration as to what to build, design or code next I have
collected some ideas below.
Or, perhaps, you have already done some of these and all you need to do
is talk about what you did. So please, think about your projects and
perhaps doing a presentation next fall or winter.
I did a quick search for pi and esp projects. I make no representation
as to how valuable these are or if they even work and I'm hoping that
they provide some inspiration and discussion.

Selected from above projects.
These are projects I like. You may have different ideas, feel free to
ignore my likes.

And, Projects I would like to see:
* Home Assistant https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/raspberrypi/
* VPN Examples below and there are probably others.
o raspberry pi https://www.pivpn.io/ <https://www.pivpn.io/>
o ESP32

* Smart thermostat. Using an ESP or a Pi Pico. I have considered
doing this, but I keep running into how to make it fail-safe.
* RFID door lock from someone better at mechanics than me. Take a look
at my RFID presentation https://drtr.net/pi/rfid/. for the RFID
part, no mechanics included.
These projects are mostly because I want you to show me how.
