[VicPiMakers Projects] Interesting article on the different types of LiPo batteries

Thanks for the link
I've been learning lots about li-ion 82650 batteries last week.
I bought an e-bike (the same model as the one I ride) that london drugs was
selling for parts because of a dead 36v battery, for $400 .
The manufacturer went out of business, and I can't find that slim battery
pack anywhere online.
I determined it wasn't the charger by swapping chargers with my current
bike.
So I charged the ten cell packs individually to about 2.5 volts, from zero
volts. There was about a half volt difference between cells depending
which one I charged last. Then I plugged in the charger, which began
charging fine but I noticed that some cells got hot. I let them cool, and
put a thermistor in the battery case that shut off the charger at a temp of
40c. A half hour later the battery case was quite warm to the touch, and
the thermistor was reading 49c. Damn... too hot. And the cells were even
hotter.
One bank of cells is the culprit, I think.
I don't know if the battery manager is bad.. I'm about to buy a new Daly or
Qucc model. I can't find one that will fit the battery case though. Here
is a good video on BMS <https://youtu.be/NwYkuVcp120> investigation

By the way, there are several BMS's for around 12 volts, and one for 48
volts in the estate stuff. And a bunch of 82650 cells. Anyone interested
in biking through the snow to get them?
