As I promised some time back here are some thoughts on presentations. This started when Mark started thinking about his projected series on
Django next fall and wondered out loud to Craig and I about whether that level of depth and specificity was appropriate to the Pi group.
The consensus of the 3 of us; probably not. So we put together some suggestions.
The current fall schedule, such as it is, is at:

Eileen I volunteered you for Scratch as I thought you might like to do that. Everything is tentative and nobody is obligated to agree with
me or to do a presentation I have volunteered you to do, including me. This is very much planning at this point.

So please take a look add your thoughts and let's discuss this at our upcoming steering group meeting.

Cheers and
## Our major focus should be:

- embedded systems, including the Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP microprocessors, and Others
- on applications which run on embedded systems
- that measure and/or control the world

## From the Survey:
- There is the most interest in applications for:
- Pi
- ESP8266/32 and Arduino
- iot
- sensors
- radios
- mqtt
- network

- There is the most interest in the following languages:
- Python
- C/C++
- PHP
- Bash

## Some ideas on IOT and ...
- software that supports IOT
- mqtt
- software that displays
- node red
- Sensors that get data
- flow
- temperature
- light
- humidity
- level
- cameras
- ....
- Things that implement control
- valves
- relays
- servos
- actuators
- ...
- Control Theory
- PID (Proportional Integral Derivitive) Control
- ON/Off and deadband
- Sample time
- networks
- raspberry pi
- wifi on micro processors
## Display
- Pretty leds
- OLED
- ...
## Pi for development
- Arduino IDE
- LXC
## Explore the software that comes with PiOS (was Raspbian)
- IDEs
- Arduino IDE
- Thonny Python
- Geany
-
- Programming
- Scratch
- Python
-

## Suggestions
1. create a list of possible presentations and ask for our folks to rank them
2. get a better email list so we talk to more people
3. solicit peoples interests and strengths
4. post a list of desired presentations
5. ask for volunteers to do those presentations
- provide assistance and moral support
- examples of presentations
- hands on
